Summary: Livestream your iOS screen and broadcast any game, no capture card required, using a Mac and your iOS device.
What you need to get started:
Mac with OSX 10.10 or higher, 64-Bit Processor
Latest version of Mobcrush on your Mac
Be logged into a verified Mobcrush account on your Mac
An iOS device running iOS 8+
How it Works
Open up the Mobcrush App on your Mac
Connect an iOS device to your Mac computer through the standard USB port. Please ‘trust’ and ‘accept’ any pop-up windows asking if you want to share files with and/or trust this device. This allows the Mac to access data on the device.
Make sure you are logged into your account on the Mobcrush Mac app
Setup your stream, select a title and game that you’ll be streaming. If the game you’re playing isn’t listed, select other.
If you want to add an overlay over the steam then you can insert it on the Overlay tab
Camera setup: If you want to use a camera to broadcast your face use the camera toggle to select a build in camera, or an external camera recognized by your computer. Once the camera has been recognized, you can change the position and size of the camera in the stream preview window on the left. Other camera options include the ability to toggle privacy mode, add a green screen, or make your camera the primary content of the stream.
Audio setup: The Mic input tab allows you to select which audio source you want to use so that the audience can hear you. If the computer has a internal mic you can use that or if you have your own mic then plug it in and select that option. You can also click the speaker icon to balance game audio and microphone audio.
The mobile device tab is where you select your plugged in iOS mobile device that you will be playing the game on. This will allow the stream to mimic the screen on the phone.
Once you’ve setup your stream the M at the bottom of the screen will glow blue and you’re ready to start your stream. Press the M button and you are live! There is also a video linked that will give you a step by step visual guide on how to get it set up.
Watch and interact with chat while you broadcast and have a great stream. Once you’re done, push the ‘M’ button again to end your broadcast.
Tips & tricks:
You can set the orientation of your broadcast and set the broadcast quality from the settings in the status bar
If you click on the camera at the bottom of the Set Up your Broadcast section of the Mac app it will allow you to full screen your portrait, jumble your screen so that people cannot see what's on your phone screen, and crop out the background so it only shows you. These are super handy tools to enhance your stream
